ESD-protective bags made of at least three layers of plastic film on each surface are specifically designed to protect sensitive electronic components against static charges. The conductive, thin metallized film located in the middle layer provides the bag with a protective shield against static electricity and electromagnetic waves.

Thanks to this Faraday cage function, products can be stored safely and securely. When the metallized layer is applied through vapor deposition, the bag remains transparent; when applied as a film layer, it gives the bag a metallic appearance.

Because these products provide both electrostatic protection and electromagnetic shielding, they should be the primary choice for protecting sensitive devices—especially electronic circuit boards containing software.
